Export plates to be nested in Shop Data Systems

You can create a combining run in Advance Bill, Estimating, Production Control, Purchasing, and in Order Entry.

Open a job or a requisition.
Click the ribbon tab.

For example, if you are working on a production control job, click the Production Control ribbon tab.
On the menu, select Combine.

The Select Combining Run dialog opens.
Click Nest.

The Combining Run Filters dialog opens.
Filter for the plates you want to nest.
Enable the desired nesting software.
1. Click Optimizations.
  
  The Combining Setup dialog opens.
2. On the Plate Nesting Settings tab, set Plate Nesting Software to Extension.
3. Click Save.
  
  You return to the Combining Run Filters dialog.
  
  Tip: You can set Extension as the default for a module in the Combining Optimizations in Maintenance > <Module> > Company Standards.
To combine the materials, click Nest or press F4.

The Combining Run Results dialog opens.

It lists the parts you have selected to send to nesting software to nest.

In the navigation tree, the parts are under Not Combined, because the nesting software will do the combining.
To save, click Save Combining Run.
On the ribbon tab, select Export Parts for Nesting > External SDS Nesting.

The work order is available for PeddiNest.
