Export inventory to SigmaNest

We recommend that you regularly export the Tekla PowerFab inventory to SigmaNest to keep the Tekla PowerFab inventory and SigmaNest in sync.

Note:

Before you start, ensure that you have enabled SigmaNest and that the SigmaNest and SimTrans Database are accessible. See Enable SigmaNest for plate nesting.

  1. In the Inventory dialog, click the Inventory ribbon tab.
  2. On the menu, select Export > Export to SigmaNest.

    The inventory information in Tekla PowerFab is exported to SigmaNest. You can view the process in the Status dialog.

  3. When the synchronization process is completed, click OK to close the Status dialog.

Next proceed as follows:

  1. Import inventory to Tekla PowerFab. See Import inventory information from an HTML file.
  2. Nest with SigmaNest, see Nest plates with SigmaNest.
  3. Process the nest in SigmaNest, see Process Nest in SigmaNest in Tekla PowerFab Plugin for SigmaNest Getting Started Guide: Nesting.
  4. Get remnant information from SigmaNest to Tekla PowerFab. See Tekla PowerFab Plugin for SigmaNest Getting Started Guide: Processing.
