Activate or deactivate shapes

You can activate and deactivate shapes to enable or disable using the shapes in Tekla PowerFab. Shapes that are deactivated will not appear in the shape lists in Tekla PowerFab.You can also use the Activated/Deactivated list to select if you want to display activated, deactivated, or all shapes.

Deactivate shapes

Note: We recommend that you deactivate shapes instead of deleting them. If needed, you can easily start using deactivated shapes by activating the shapes again.

Go to Maintenance > Shapes/Grades/Sizes.

The Shape/Grade/Size Maintenance dialog opens.
In the shape list, select the shapes that you want to deactivate.

To select multiple items, hold down Ctrl.
To select a range of subsequent items, hold down Shift.
Click Deactivate Selected Shapes.
To confirm deactivating the shapes, click Yes in the confirmation dialog.

The deactivated shapes are no longer available for Tekla PowerFab to use in combining and pricing. You can reactivate deactivated shapes at any time.

Activate shapes

In the shape list, select the shapes that you want to activate.

To select multiple items, hold down Ctrl.
To select a range of subsequent items, hold down Shift.
Click Activate Selected Shapes.
To confirm activating the shapes, click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
