Manage material finish options

You can create, modify, or delete material finish options in the Finish Maintenance dialog. You can also select the shipping routes used for each finish option.

Create a new finish option

Go to Maintenance > Production Control > Finish Maintenance.
The Finish Maintenance dialog opens.
Click New.
Type an abbreviation and a description for the new finish option.
In Shipping Route, select the shipping route that you want to use for production control items with the new finish option. (Optional)

For more information on shipping routes, see Manage default shipping routes.
In Mapping (one per line), type any finish descriptions that should be mapped to this finish type when importing the model finish information.

Type each additional finish description on a separate line.
Click Add.

Modify an existing finish option

Go to Maintenance > Production Control > Finish Maintenance.
The Finish Maintenance dialog opens.
Click the finish option that you want to modify to select it.
Modify the abbreviation, description, and shipping route according to your needs.
Click Save.

The properties of the finish option are updated.

Delete a finish option

Note that deleting a finish option is permanent and cannot be undone.

Go to Maintenance > Production Control > Finish Maintenance.
The Finish Maintenance dialog opens.
Click the finish option that you want to delete.
Click Delete.
In the confirmation dialog, click Yes to permanently delete the finish option.

Export finish options

Go to Maintenance > Production Control > Finish Maintenance.
The Finish Maintenance dialog opens.
On the Finish Maintenance ribbon tab, click Export to XML.

The Save As dialog opens.
Select the folder where you want to export the XML file with finish options.
Click Save.
