Define company standard settings for Advance Bill
For each module, you can define company-level settings that are the default for all new jobs.
Define general settings
- Click the Maintenance ribbon tab.
-
On the
menu, select Advance
Bill > Company Standards.
The Company Standards dialog opens.
-
Modify
the settings as needed.
Option Description Job # Increment Allows you to select the default option for automatic job numbering. The options are:
- Increment from Last Job #: When you create a new job, Tekla PowerFab uses the next available job number after the latest job number created.
- Increment from Largest Job #: Tekla PowerFab uses the next available job number after the largest job number created.
- Don't Increment: Automatic job numbering is not used.
You can modify the job number when you create a new job.
Mark Input Type Allows you to select which format is used when defining mark numbers.
The Any Input and Any Input - Logical Sort options allows you to use any format when defining marks. The difference between the two options is that the Any Input - Logical Sort sorts the items in a different way.
Auto-Increment When selected, Tekla PowerFab automatically populates the new mark number with the next largest available mark number when you are adding items in the Advance Bill dialog. Auto-Increment From Last Entered Value When selected, Tekla PowerFab automatically populates the new mark number with the next mark number from the latest added mark number when you are adding items in the Advance Bill dialog. Allow Blank When selected, Tekla PowerFab allows blank mark numbers. Allow Duplicate When selected, Tekla PowerFab allows duplicate mark numbers. Keep Job Selection Screen Open When selected, the Select <Module> Job dialog stays open after a job has been opened.
Otherwise, the dialog closes when you open a job.
Open to Filter Selection When selected, the <Module> Filters dialog automatically opens when you open a job. In the dialog, you can set filters to only show the items that you want to see in the job.
The job opens when you have set the filters.
Automatically Create Document Index Directories When selected, the Document Index directories defined in Maintenance > Document Index > Standard Categories are created automatically under the base document index directory when a job is created. See Set the standard categories for attached documents. Item Increment Sets the autoincrement for item numbers.
The default autoincrement of 10 allows items to be added in the list as needed, without having to renumber the other items in the job.
For example, if items should be numbered as 10, 20, 30, ..., set the input increment to 10. If the autoincrement of item numbers is not necessary, type 1.
Job # Regular Expression
Allows the use of regular expressions to enforce a desired format for the job numbers.

Define ABM settings
You can define company-level advance bill of materials (ABM) tolerances on the ABM Settings tab.
When an ABM is submitted from Tekla Structures, these values determine if any changes made are within the tolerance. This helps identifying the changes that are critical for the ABM stage.
- Click the Maintenance ribbon tab.
-
On the
menu, select Advance
Bill > Company Standards.
The Company Standards dialog opens.
- Go to the ABM Settings tab.
-
Define the settings.
Property Description Procurement numbering Beam net length tolerance Tolerance for beam net length Plate length/width tolerance Tolerance for plate length and width Mark prefix A prefix that is added to the preliminary numbers Change Detection Beam extending tolerance Tolerance for marking an already submitted part as modified after the net length of the beam is extended in the model. Beam shortening tolerance Tolerance for marking an already submitted part as modified after the net length of the beam is shortened in the model Plate extending tolerance Tolerance for marking an already submitted part as modified after the length or width of a plate is increased in the model. Plate shortening tolerance Tolerance for marking an already submitted part as modified after the length or width of a plate is reduced in the model. - Click Save.
When you import an IFC file from Tekla Structures, the Change Summary shows the default tolerances. In Change Summary, you can select to view the critical changes only based on the values set here.
