Administrators can use the Restore
Database command to replace the Tekla
PowerFab database with a previously saved
backup copy. This can be useful if the database has been compromised, or if the database
needs to be moved from one server to another.

Ensure that all other users have
logged out of Tekla
PowerFab.

To stop the Tekla
PowerFab Remote Server:

Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Tekla\Tekla PowerFab.

To open the Tekla PowerFab Remote Monitor window, double-click
Tekla.PowerFab.Remote.Monitor.exe
.

In the Tekla PowerFab Remote Monitor window, click Stop Service.

Close all dialogs that you
have open in Tekla
PowerFab.

Click the File ribbon tab in the upper-left corner of the Tekla
PowerFab
window.

On the
File menu, select
Restore
Database.

In the Open dialog, browse to find the backup file that you want to use.

Select the file and click Open.

To replace all existing
information in the Tekla
PowerFab database with the information in
the backup file, click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
Tekla
PowerFab
restores the database. This may take a while.

In the Message dialog, click OK to close Tekla
PowerFab.

To use the restored database,
restart Tekla
PowerFab and log in.
If the database is not the same version, you may be prompted to update it.
