Color-code production control items in the IFC model

To color-code items in the IFC model according to their properties, use the Colorize command in the Model Viewer Interface dialog.

You can color-code items according to their production status or sequence, for example.

You can also set filters to only color-code particular items in the model.

By using a filter, you could first filter the items by their sequence, and then color-code the items in that sequence by their production status, for example.

  1. Open a job and right-click anywhere in the display area.

    A context menu opens.

  2. Click Model Interface.

The Model Viewer Interface dialog opens.

  3. To include only specific types of items, do the following (Optional):
    1. Select a filter type in the Type list, and click Select.

      The Filter dialog opens.

    2. Do one of the following depending on the filter type:
      • Click the arrow buttons to move the items that you want to include in the report to the Included list.
      • Type the maximum and minimum values for the items that you want to include.
    3. Click OK.
  4. In Colorize By, select a property in the list.
  5. Click Colorize.

The items in the IFC model are color-coded according to the selected property.

To revert to the original colors in the IFC model, click Reset in the Model Viewer Interface dialog.
