Track production by piece mark

You can view tracking information by piece mark in the Station Summary dialog. You can also record the stations that the piece mark has completed, the date, and the hours used. Piece-tracking records can also be added if the station is set as the TFS station in a route or assigned to an inspection.

  1. In the Select Production Control Job, select a job.
  2. Do either of the following:
    • On the Production Control ribbon tab, select Piece Tracking.
    • In the job dialog, click Piece Tracking.

    The Station Summary dialog opens.

The dialog lists the stations that have work assigned to them on the job, displays how much work has been completed, and what is outstanding. It also shows how many hours have been spent on each station.

Filter: You can limit the information being displayed

  3. To view assemblies that have been completed at a station, select a station and click Details.

    The Stations Completed dialog opens.

  4. To record information for completed items, click Add Completed.

The Station - Add Completed dialog opens.

  5. Select a station in the Station list.

Filter: You can limit the information being displayed

  6. Click the arrow buttons to move the items that have completed the selected station to the Included list.

If you cannot see all items that should be available, try selecting the Include If Previous Station Not Complete checkbox. When this checkbox is selected, items that have not yet completed the previous station on the route are also shown.

  7. In Completed By, select the user that is adding the piece tracking information.
  8. In Date, select the completion date in the calendar.
  9. In Hours and Minutes, type the number of working hours and minutes used, and select if they are calculated by piece or as a total.
  10. In Batch ID field, you can type the batch ID of the selected items.

Batch ID is a generic field for grouping piece tracking entry items to provide more specific reporting.

For example, you can type the name of the employee who is adding the piece tracking information.
  11. To review the inspection test records of the items before completing stations, click the Inspection button.
For more information, see Inspection test records.
  12. Click Add Material to save the piece tracking information.
  13. To close the Station Summary dialog, click the Close button (X) in the upper-right corner.

You can view the piece tracking information by creating a Production Status dialog. For more information, see View production status.

You can also view piece tracking information by viewing any report with the word Station or Stations in the title. For more information, see Job-specific production control reports.
