Load properties
You can add and modify load properties and subcontract items to purchase orders in the Load Properties dialog box.
You can access the Load Properties dialog box as follows:
- Open a production control job.
- Click the Production Control ribbon tab and click Load
Tracking
The Loads dialog box opens.
- Click either New Load or Load Properties.

The Load Properties dialog box when adding a new load:

The initial location of the load Select an option in the drop-down list. The available locations are set in Shipping Route Maintenance. See Manage default shipping routes and Manage shipping routes for a production control job. |
Destination Group |
The available destinations for the load Select a destination in the drop-down list. The available destinations are set in Shipping Route Maintenance. Manage default shipping routes and Manage shipping routes for a production control job |
Load # |
The number of the load The field auto-increments from the previous load created on the job. You can also type in a new number. |
Trailer # |
The trailer number Select an option in the drop-down list or type the trailer number directly in the Trailer # field. The available trailers are set in the Load Tracking Settings dialog box in Company Standards. See Define load tracking settings. |
Carrier |
The transport company delivering the load Select an option in the drop-down list or type a carrier name directly in the field. The available carriers are set in the Load Tracking Settings dialog box Company Standards. See Define load tracking settings. |
Capacity |
The weight capacity Tekla PowerFab automatically adds the information according to your other selections on the Details tab. |
Planned Ship Date |
The day when you presume that the load will be shipped Select a date in the calendar. |
Add to Purchase Order | Click to add subcontract items from the load to a purchase order. |

In addition to the properties for the new load, the following buttons appear:
Check Heat Documents: Opens the Check Heat Documents dialog box for the load. You can view if the items have heat documents attached to them. You can also save or print the available heat documents, or create reports on the items that have or do not have heat documents.
Add Material: Opens the Add Material dialog box. See Add or preassign materials to a load.
Shipping Ticket: Opens the Report Selection dialog box for creating a shipping ticket. See Create and view a shipping ticket.
Ship: Opens the Load Properties - Shipped dialog box with Date Shipped and Date Received.
Top Text
On the Top Text tab, you can select the text that will appear on the top of the shipping ticket reports.
Material
The Material tab lists all the items assigned to the load with the quantity and weight. It also includes the work package.
You can add, remove, and load items.
Loaded
The Loaded tab lists all the loaded items, with the date it was loaded together with the quantity and weight. It also includes the work package.
You can unload the selected items. This option is only available when the load has not yet shipped.
Additional
The Additional tab shows additional items. They are goods that will be included on the load that are not directly on the production control bill of materials, such as bolts and fixings, site paint, and tools.
When you click the Additional on Load, you can add additional items to the load either by typing or selecting from the drop-down list.
