Manage inspection test types

A test type groups together a set of related tests. You can add, edit, and delete the test types.

All inspection test types except for Assembly, Part, and Load are considered general inspection tests.

  1. Go to Maintenance > Inspection > Inspection Test Types.

    The Inspection Test Type Maintenance dialog box opens.

  2. Do any of the following:
    To Do this
    Add a new test type
    1. Click New.
    2. Enter a description.
    3. Click Add.
    Edit a test type
    1. Select the test type in the list.
    2. Modify the description.
    3. Click Edit.
    Delete a test type

    The test types Assembly, Part, and Load cannot be deleted because they indicate the subject of the test.

    1. Select the test type in the list.
    2. Click Delete.
    3. To confirm the deletion, click Yes.
