Job status maintenance

Job status has various functions. It allows you to group jobs, which makes reporting more effective. It also allows you to drill down selections, control automated events, and restrict the availability of jobs in Tekla PowerFab Go. For estimating jobs, you can create your own set of statuses to facilitate managing and prioritizing estimates and to provide visibility into the workflow.

You can create as many statuses as you want in Tekla PowerFab, but any status applied to a job has one of the two purposes:

  • Open: Active jobs
  • Closed: Jobs that are no longer active.

Manage job statuses

You can add, edit, and delete job statuses.

  1. Go to Maintenance > Job Status Maintenance.

    The Job Status Maintenance dialog box opens.

    Bidding, Awarded, and Lost are by default EST Only.

  2. Do one of the following:
    To Do
    Add a new status
    1. Click New.
    2. Type in a description.
    3. Select purpose.
    4. For statuses intended only for estimating, select Estimating Only.
    5. Click Save.
    Edit a status
    1. Select the status that you want to modify.
    2. Modify the status as needed:
      • Change the description or purpose.
      • To deactivate the status if it is no longer required or applicable, unselect Active. The status is then not available when setting the job status.
    3. Click Save.
    Delete a status
    1. Select the status that you want to delete.
    2. Click Delete.
    3. To confirm, click Yes.
