Tekla PowerFab Go connection setup
Tekla PowerFab Go connects to your company database via Tekla PowerFab Remote Monitor. Enabling and maintaining a secure connection requires specific changes to your network and firewall.
The management of your system firewalls is extremely important.
Use the table below as a guide to allowing the connection through each layer of security at your organization. Network security changes should be made by a professional network administrator.

In some cases, ISPs block all IP addresses that are not whitelisted and request to add the Tekla PowerFab IP addresses to their list. |
The firewall needs to allow incoming connections from the Tekla Server IP addresses to pass through to the company server on the selected TCP port Typically this is where most connections are inhibited at setup. It may be necessary to whitelist URLs in addition to the IP addresses. |
If enabled, Windows firewall needs to have inbound rules for allowing the connection through the selected TCP port. Ensure that the applied configuration is secure.2 |
Ensure that Tekla PowerFab Remote Monitor and associated folders are not being blocked or restricted by antivirus software, Windows permissions, or other security running on the server2. Default locations:

1) Port 9154 is the default that is used for TCP port forwarding, but you can select any port.
2) Each organization must ensure that proper security measures are in place for their network and server configuration.
