Save a backup copy of the Tekla PowerFab database

We recommend that administrators save backup copies of the Tekla PowerFab database regularly. This way, you can restore a compromised database by using a backup copy of the database.

Note:

The best way to ensure reliable database backups is using the automated event for creating automatic backups. For more information, see Automated events.

Close all dialogs that you have open in Tekla PowerFab.
Go to File > Backup Database.

The Save As dialog opens.
Browse to the location where you want to save the backup file.

You can modify the name of the backup file.
Click Save.

Tekla PowerFab copies all database information to the selected folder as a compressed 7z file.
