You can assign cost codes and cost types to items in estimates. By establishing cost codes and cost types at the estimating stage of your project, you have better summary reporting of your project that aligns with your job costing practices.

1. In the Select Estimating Job dialog box, open a job.
2. To assign a cost code or cost type to a single item, select the item.
3. In the input area, select the cost code or cost type from the drop-down list.

   

4. Click Save.
