Option
Description
Job # Increment Allows you to select the default option for automatic job numbering. The options are:
- Increment from Last Job #: When you create a new job, Tekla PowerFab uses the next available job number after the latest job number created.
- Increment from Largest Job #: Tekla PowerFab uses the next available job number after the largest job number created.
- Don't Increment: Automatic job numbering is not used.
You can modify the job number when you create a new job.
Default Finish The most typical material finish for most estimating jobs and items.
Item Increment Sets the autoincrement for item numbers.
The default autoincrement of 10 allows items to be added in the list as needed, without having to renumber the other items in the job.
For example, if items should be numbered as 10, 20, 30, ..., set the input increment to 10. If the autoincrement of item numbers is not necessary, type 1.
Keep Job Selection Screen Open When selected, the Select <Module> Job dialog box stays open after a job has been opened.
Otherwise, the dialog box closes when you open a job.
Open to Filter Selection When selected, the <Module> Filters dialog box automatically opens when you open a job. In the dialog box, you can set filters to only show the items that you want to see in the job.
The job opens when you have set the filters.
Report Pricing - Automatically Select Last Combining Run When selected, Tekla PowerFab automatically uses the pricing used in the last saved combining run.
Imports - Use Piece Mark as Part # When selected, imported piece marks are automatically used as part number items in the estimating material list.
Automatically Create Document Index Directories When selected, the Document Index directories defined in Maintenance > Document Index > Standard Categories are created automatically under the base document index directory when a job is created. See Set the standard categories for attached documents. Imports - Use as Production Code Select whether you want to use assembly main marks, piece marks, drawing descriptions, or assembly descriptions as production codes.
If you use piece marks as production codes, you can ensure that each item in a production control job matches the same item in a linked estimating job. This guarantees that the corresponding items have the same labor times.
IFC Import - Set status of updated items to The estimate status is used to verify the condition or state of an estimate item. This controls the status of an estimate item, should there be a change to ensure that the item is properly reviewed. Production Code - Default Aggregate Units Defines the default units of measure for labor items within the production codes. Job # Regular Expression Allows the use of regular expressions to enforce a desired format for the job numbers.
For more details on regular expressions, click Regular Expression Help.
Warn if accessory quantity is not a multiple of the main piece quantity When selected, Tekla PowerFab prompts the user to confirm when adding or updating an accessory and the quantity is not a multiple of the main piece quantity.
Summary Information to Excel - Prompt for whether it is a Canadian project Select if the Summary Information to Excel report option should prompt if it is a Canadian project for the purposes of applying tax rates. -
