1. General Settings

1.1 Environment initialization files

The following advanced options were added to or modified or removed from the initialization files:

env_US.ini

Added

To remove the uneditable GA Mark from outputting on plot file names, XS_DRAWING_PLOT_FILE_NAME_G=%%DRAWING_TITLE%%%%DRAWING_REVISION? - Rev %%%%REVISION_MARK%% was added. This overrides the non-localized default of %DRAWING_NAME.% - %DRAWING_TITLE%%DRAWING_REVISION? - Rev %%REVISION_MARK%

Removed

Steel Component settings were moved to General to be available in all roles. As a result the \Imperial\Steel\ComponentSettings\ and \Metric\Steel\ComponentSettings\ folders were removed from XS_USIMP_STEEL and XS_USMET_STEEL.

Role_Imperial_Steel_Detailing.ini & Role_Metric_Steel_Detailing.ini

2. Steel Settings

Throughout the steel roles, many attribute set names were modified. When possible underscore characters _ were replaced by space characters. Some attribute sets were renamed to sort similar items together.

2.1 Parts

Steel Beam, Column, and Plate attribute set names were modified. When possible underscore characters _ were replaced by space characters. Some attribute sets were renamed to sort similar items together.

Steel Beam, Column, and Plate numbering prefixes were modified to avoid case clashing. See Consider Case for Numbering Prefixes. [TSLOC-5607]

Additional concrete Beam, Column, and footing attribute sets were added to assist in modeling reference items.

A new User-defined attribute has been created for marking bolts existing. [TSLOC-3602]

2.2 Components

Steel components attribute set names were modified. When possible underscore characters _ were replaced by space characters. Some attribute sets were renamed to sort similar items together.

Steel components numbering prefixes were modified to avoid case clashing. See Consider Case for Numbering Prefixes. [TSLOC-5607]

2.3 Drawings

Layouts
AssemblyDrawings.lay has been updated. More tables have been marked overlap with views. This should reduce drawing views crowding to one side or not using the available drawing space for a template that is not visible.

Fabrication Drawings (Assembly & Single part)

New Drawing Creation Settings are implemented. Previously, the USA Environment Steel Role has been set (XS_USE_OLD_DRAWING_CREATION_SETTINGS=FALSE) to use the old drawing creation settings.  [TSLOC-5385]

"Trimble no longer maintains the old functionality and dialog boxes. In practice, this means that new features… will not be available in the old dialog boxes."

(Source: XS_USE_OLD_DRAWING_CREATION_SETTINGS Product guide)

To upgrade previously customized predefined drawing settings (attribute sets) using the "old" drawing creation settings, see Convert Old Drawing Creation Settings To New Drawing Creation Settings.
