Multi Report Generator (m122)
Tekla Structures includes the tool Multi Report Generator (m122) which generates multiple reports in once.
The tool can be opened via Applications and components:

However, this is the default tool in Tekla Structures and has less functionality. |
Tool buttons

Using this button all available reports will be selected (all checkboxes are enabled). |

Using this button all available reports will be un-selected (all checkboxes are disabled). |

Using this button will open the folder in which the reports are stored. By default reports are stored in the folder defined in the advanced options. Open the advanced options using shortcut Ctrl + e. |

Using this button, the selected reports are generated. In case a report needs numbering and the numbering is not up to date, next warning will pop-up: Image
Press OK and update the numbering first (via File > Diagnose & repair > Diagnose and repair numbering: all). |

Using this button, you can close the tool. |

Save the setting of the tool with the current settings using the current name. |

Load the saved setting to use a previous saved setting. |

Options

Once this option is active reports will be generated from the selected model objects/parts. |

Once this option is active reports will be generated from all the model objects/parts. |

Using this you will generate: - One file (report). - Separate reports per phase of the selected or all objects/parts: Image
- Separate reports of concrete part of the selected or all parts. |

Once this option is enabled after generating reports, those reports are not shown. |

Opening reports will be done in Tekla Structures dialog. |

Reports will be opened in associated Windows application. E.g., Notepad. |

Subfolder(s) in the Reports folder can be overwritten having this option enables.The previous generated reports *.xsr-files in the subfolders will not be removed. New reports will be added to the subfolders. |

In case the date should be added into the file name, use this option. The name of the report will be the name of the report, followed by the creation date of the report, e.g. materiallist_23-8-2023.xsr |

The prefix of the file name of the report can be defined. Any text can be used here. Also hardcoded option %phase_name% can be used. The name of the phase defined in the Phase Manager will be used: Image

Edit reports
It is possible to edit a report via tool Multi Report Generator (m122). Just right click on the report you want to edit and click Edit report template:
In case you open a report direct via Multi Report Generate (m122), always the selected report will be opened. using the Template editor. This way an overwrite will be avoided in case a report having the same name stored in several folders will be overwritten (model folder - ts folder - system folder).
