More detailed and structured estimates with interactive estimate cost summary

Jobs are sometimes awarded long after the estimate was prepared so it is crucial that your summary includes all the information, including additional costs like rented equipment or subcontracted services. All the information is now available in an interactive window where you can edit and adjust prior to bid. Once you have submitted your estimate, you can lock the numbers for reviewing only.

Flexible cost structure to better integrate with accounting

Estimates often include items outside of structural and miscellaneous steel with related labor. For accounting, you need to track everything that is included in the estimate through purchasing and inventory operations. The cost codes and cost types can now be set to match the expected structure in commonly used accounting packages.

Improved visibility when changes happen

Be assured that you are able to identify and correct changes when they happen, thanks to  the improved change-management functionality. We are introducing a new workflow for reviewing and understanding the impact of changes being applied when importing a new bill of materials into a production-control job.

This supports a review workflow where the changes can be paused until the correct action can be determined. While the changes are pending, the associated drawings are placed on hold to prevent any further work being done.

Better load management for all inventory items

Steel fabricators ship more than fabricated steelwork – they also ship raw inventory materials. This includes steel items such as angles and flat bar, consumable items such as paint, and – perhaps most commonly – bolts and other fastenings that have been purchased for the job. Now you can add inventory to a load and immediately take it from stock, automating the management and traceability of this process.
