Question:
If I add BendingRadius or Dimensions for a graphical field of a rebar for Free attributes… -> User - > Properties, it returns some wrong information in the template. How can I return the bending radius of a curved rebar together with the pullout picture?
Answer:
Here are the steps how to return the bending radius of a curved rebar:
1. Create the curved rebar in the model.

2. Open Rebar Shape Manager… under Tools -> Rebar Shape Manager…
3. Load the curved rebar shape.

4. Under Bending schedule fields select field “R”.
5. Right-click on the field and select (formula).

6. Enter formula (RI+RO)/2 and click OK.

7. Now update the existing RebarShapeRules.xml by clicking the Update button or Save As new rebar shape rule.
8. After this, in the Template Editor add a Value Field with attribute formula GetValue(“DIM_R”).

9. Now the Value Field will return the bending radius of the curved rebar.
