Open the Inventory module

To maintain your inventory, open the Inventory module.

Users with administrator rights need to grant the relevant access rights for other users on the Inventory tab in File > Administration. See Manage user permissions.
At the top of the Tekla PowerFab window, click Inventory button.

The Inventory dialog opens.

(1) Navigation tree: The contextual filters allow you to filter information shown on the display area. See Filters inTekla Powerfab.

(2) Display area: Lists all material items in in the inventory.

You can modify the visible columns and details. See Customize the layout of a dialog and Customize display fields.

(3) The leftmost unnamed column: The statuses of different material items. See Abbreviations in the Inventory dialog.

(4) Zero quantity items: Placeholders for items that have been received on a purchase order, but have not been finalized yet. See Zero quantity items in inventory.

(5) Input area: Allows you to add properties for new material items and modify the properties of existing material items. It also displays the properties of an item selected in the display area.

You can modify the visible columns and details. See Customize the layout of a dialog and Customize display fields.

Note: The properties of items that are on a purchase order or that are placeholders with zero quantity cannot be modified, and therefore the input fields become inactive if you select them in the display area.

(6) Summary: Summarizes information for an item, selected items, filtered items, and for the entire job, requisition, or purchase order.

(7) Find: Opens a menu to select specific type of items you can search for in the job.

(8) Quick filter and search. For more information, click .

(9) Combining details: The parts to be cut from the item selected in the display area.

Note: Under the combining details table, you can see if the items that are combined to the selected inventory item are properly linked to a production control job.

(10): Links: Allows you to view and manage the linked material items in other modules.
