SOLD-1482

Splitting plates and slabs

The Split command on the Edit ribbon tab has been improved, and it is now easier to split contour plates and slabs in the model. You no longer need to use a polygon for splitting, or shift the work plane.

To split a plate or slab:

  1. On the Edit tab, click Split.

  2. Select the plate or slab you want to split.

Bent plates and lofted plates and slabs cannot be split.

  3. Pick the points you want the splitting line to go through.

Pick the first point and the last point on an edge of the plate or slab.

Areas with chamfers, cuts, or openings cannot be split. If you try to pick points in these areas, the preview of the splitting line turns red, indicating that splitting is not possible.

The Split plate or slab command that was available in Quick Launch in Tekla Structures 2021 has now been removed and combined with the Split ribbon command.

TTSD-40506

Document manager UDA search

Document manager now searches for DocumentManagerUDAs*.txt files recursively in extension folders and subfolders in addition to the previously available search locations.

The DocumentManagerUDAs*.txt files define the drawing UDAs that are shown in the Document manager columns.

TTSD-43315

Texts in PDF reference models

PDF reference models now have better coverage for texts.

TTSD-43317

Layers in .tekla models

Layers are now available for objects in .tekla models. To upload a .tekla model with layers to the linked Trimble Connect project, you need to customize the part.epr file:
  1. Copy the part.epr file from the \TeklaStructures\<version>\Environments\common\system\UploadToConnect folder to the \attributes folder under the current model folder.

  2. Open the part.epr file in a text editor, such as Microsoft Notepad.

  3. Add a line for layers in the following format: "layer": ["TEMPLATE_FIELD"]

    For example, "layer": ["ASSEMBLY_POS"]

  4. Save the part.epr file.

TTSD-39229, TTSD-43390

Improvement in IFC export property sets

The IfcRoof, IfcRamp and IfcStair property set definitions could not be included in the IFC export without including the IfcElementAssembly as well. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-43436

New control for forcing IFC object category in IFC2x3 export

The IFC2X3 export does not export steel secondary objects as IfcDiscreteAccessory from now on. You can force previous categorization by setting the new advanced option XS_IFC2X3_EXPORT_SECONDARY_AS_DISCRETEACCESSORY to TRUE in an .ini file, for example, teklastructures.ini.

Improvements in concrete components

Embedded anchors (8)

On the Placement tab, you can now select whether to detect braced girders in the whole assembly.

TSAC-4806

Beam reinforcement (63)

On the Parameters tab, you can now select to create side bars as rebar groups. Previously, all side bars were created as separate single bars.

TSAC-5168

Concrete console (110)

On the Parameters tab, there is a new column cut-out type for T-shaped secondary parts. Using this new cut-out type, you can now add an additional cover thickness between the column and the beam.

TSAC-5158

Wall panel reinforcement / Double wall edge and opening reinforcement

Bent mesh settings have the following improvements on the Picture tab:

  • Longitudinal overhangs

Select Target to create variable overhang lengths. This creates meshes as full length meshes minus the cover thickness.

Select Exact to create centered meshes with a fixed overhang length.

  • Minimum gap

Define the gap between the meshes in the corners.

Opravy

Číslo závady Oblast vývoje Popis
TSAC-3382 Concrete components Wall layout: Modifying a wall layout with sub-assembly based layers by changing the layer creation to Add to cast unit has been improved. Previously, some layers could not be updated.
TSAC-4886 Concrete components Mesh bars: Applying negative cover thickness for meshes has been improved.
TSAC-5206 Concrete components Pad footing reinforcement (77): Previously, when the third zone had enough space for one rebar only, the rebar was not created. This concerned both the primary and the secondary bars. This has now been fixed. Additionally, you can now define in each zone that rebars are not created. The creation of just one rebar in each zone has been improved so that the rebar is now created in its proper position.
TSAC-5246 Concrete components Embedded anchors (8): When a polygon thickening in the insulation layer was created around anchors, the anchors were created at the bottom edge of the thickening and not at the top edge. This has now been fixed.
TSAC-5325 Concrete components Braced girder creation (88)(89): The GUID of the top bar (b) is now written as a user-defined attribute GIRDER_TOP_GUID to all elements in the braced girder.
TTSD-43572 Concrete components In some very rare cases, Tekla Structures could crash when deleting a Wall layout connector in the model.
This has now been fixed and Tekla Structures is working correctly when deleting the connections made with Wall layout connector.
TSAC-5055 Steel components H&V Shear plate (64): You can now specify an assembly prefix and a start number for the shear tab.
TSAC-5208 Steel components Cold rolled sleeved (2): Previously, the component did not work correctly for steel sketched Z profiles. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-42066 Drawings The drawing update process has been optimized and is faster now.
TTSD-42155 Drawings If moving a view from a drawing to another drawing does not succeed, the view stays in the original drawing. Earlier, the view was removed from the original drawing.

TTSD-35722 Modeling With lofted plates, when the curve length was smaller than the part height and the lofted plate was inquired, the height was reported twice and the length value was lost. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-42507 Modeling Now, when you select Objects by phases in Phase manager, the object handle points are not shown in the property pane anymore if the object and the handle points are in the same phase.

Construction points are still shown in the selection results in the property pane. This prevents the accidental movement of part reference points which could result in a corrupted model.
TTSD-43014 Modeling Tekla Structures no longer crashes when trying to repair a model with recursive assembly hierarchies.
TTSD-43047 Modeling Tekla Structures now correctly displays rebar sets when using the Assembly > Show Assembly command even if reinforcement is defined as hidden in the display settings.
