How to filter the old folded plates within your model?

There used to be an old command to model folded plates within Tekla Structures which is diffrent than the new polybeam or new bent plate commands.
This folded plate still exists in some components and can show up in certain cases.
If you want to filter these type of plates you need to change the name of the profile type into something unique for this plate type.

  1. To do this, go to Tekla Structures messages folder and locate the file by_number.ail inside this folder.
  2. Go to message 599

  1. Change the letter "B" into a new unique letter(s). In this example, we use the letters "FB" 
  2. Save the file and restart Tekla Structures
  3. Next, when you check the model  the profile type for the folded plate should be changed to "FB"
  4. Now you can use the "FB" profile type to filter them in your templates.
