Tekla Subscription Tool for Legacy Versions of Tekla Structures

The Tekla Subscription Tool makes it possible to use a Tekla Structures subscription with legacy versions of Tekla Structures that do not directly support subscription licensing.

You can use Tekla Structures versions 2018i and earlier that use on-premises (FlexNet) licensing with the Tekla Subscription Tool, except for the following versions:

2016 up to SP6/PR6
21.1 up to SR6

Users who use these versions must upgrade to newer service packs.

Tekla Subscription Tool has been tested to provide subscription licenses to Tekla Structures 14.0 on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Note:

Tekla Structures versions 2018i and earlier are out of maintenance. The hardware recommendations for these versions might include earlier Windows versions. We cannot guarantee that earlier Tekla Structures versions will work without issues on Windows versions newer than the recommended operating systems.

The Tekla Subscription Tool converts the subscription to an on-premises license and acts as a local license server on your computer. The Tekla Subscription Tool communicates directly with the Tekla Online subscription service. When you use the Tekla Subscription Tool, you no longer need legacy on-premises licensing tools such as the Tekla on-premises license server or the Tekla License Borrow Tool.
