Horizontal stiffener (1017)

Horizontal stiffener (1017) creates four horizontal stiffener plates to the position your pick on a beam.

Objects created


Situation	Description
	Horizontal stiffeners created.
	Parallel stiffeners created.

Select a beam.

You can select multiple beams using area selection.
Pick a position on the beam.

The stiffener plates are created automatically when you pick the position.

Use the Picture tab to control the geometry of the detail.

1	Horizontal distance between the stiffeners and the point picked on the beam.	`0`
2	Vertical distance between the stiffeners and the beam flange.	0.25*beam height
3	Vertical distance between the upper and lower stiffeners.

Use the Parts tab to define the part properties.

Upper stiffeners	Thickness, width, and height of the upper stiffeners.	Thickness = beam upper flange thickness Width = 0.5*(upper flange width-web thickness) Height = `300 mm`
Lower stiffeners	Thickness, width, and height of the lower stiffeners.	Thickness = beam lower flange thickness Width = 0.5*(lower flange width-web thickness) Height = `300 mm`


Option	Description	Default
Pos_No	Prefix and start number for the part position number. Some components have a second row of fields where you can enter the assembly position number.	The default part start number is defined in the Components settings in File menu > Settings > Options.
Material	Material grade.	The default material is defined in the Part material box in the Components settings in File menu > Settings > Options.
Name	Name that is shown in drawings and reports.
