TSAC-5297 Concrete components

Automatic splicing tool is now able to handle bar groups that are tapered along a curve, and bars that have bends.

Braced girder (88 & 89): The work plane rotation option Part ZX plane is no longer dependent on the input direction of the braced girder. Previously, the order of input could affect the rotation of the braced girder. Now the rotation is fixed to the orientation of the input object and not the input points. This will always set the correct rotation for the created braced girder.

Edge and corner reinforcement (62): On the Picture tab, you can now select Holes only in the Reinforce openings setting.
 

TSAC-6890 Concrete components

Embedded anchors (008): The Up direction option Top in form face is now by default the part front face when the Top in form face UDA is set to Default. Previously, the Up direction was set to Auto and Tekla Structures displayed a message that the top-in-form face was not set.

Mesh bars by area: When applying side distances for rebars, the same shape area is now always reinforced in the same manner, regardless of the polygon settings.

TSAC-6935 Concrete components

Corbel reinforcement (81): For double corbels, when the Follow shape setting was set to horizontal, the main bar creation started at the wrong height. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6948 Concrete components

Reinforced concrete stair (95): For top anchor bars, type 1, you can now specify the rebar leg length based on the distance instead of the cover thickness.

TSAC-6958 Concrete components

Concrete beam-beam (112): Previously, beam cuts, anchors, and neoprene were not created correctly when there was a combination of polygonal neoprene and sloped beams. This issue has now been fixed. In addition, split neoprene is now created correctly.

TSAC-7003 Concrete components

Concrete beam-beam (112): The cut around the anchor bottom tube is now aligned properly to the top of the secondary part when the Tubes aligned with setting is set to Top of secondary on the Anchors tab.

TSAC-7004 Concrete components

Tapered I-beam (81): Previously, there was a small inaccuracy in the top flange cut at the start and end. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-5797 Steel components

Wall rails (1): The top bracket is not duplicated anymore when using a component to create a bracket.

TSAC-6588 Steel components

Railings (S77): Previously, when stanchions were sloped with a minor angle, the top horizontal rail was not created correctly. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6805 Steel components

Kingspan Panel Joint as mid-span (21): Previously, the primary bolts had an incorrect cut length causing them to extend incorrectly as they tried to bolt through the web and the lip of the main part. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6892 Steel components

No paint area: Previously, when you loaded a surface treatment attribute file in the No paint area tool, the depth offset was not displayed correctly in the US imperial environment. This issue has now been fixed.

Open/close angle ends (1050): The component performance with polybeams has been improved.

Column with stiffeners (188): Previously, an incorrect gap was created between the shear tab and the main part when doubler plates were created. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6941 Steel components

Bolted gusset (11), Tube gusset (20), Gusseted cross (62), Bolted gusset (196): Previously, one of the gusset chamfers was not created in the correct position. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6971 Steel components

UltraZED PCR - column (61): Previously, changing the profile in the component dialog box had no effect. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6973 Steel components

Column splice (132): Previously, when using angle cleats and division plates, some bolts were not created correctly. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6998 Steel components

Kingspan Standard tie bay (10), Kingspan Non-standard tie (6): Previously, CAM did not produce for an SWF type strut. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7000 Steel components

Wall rails: You can now set different materials for the bracket arm and bracket base.

TSAC-7012 Steel components

Tube crossing (22): Previously, end plates were placed incorrectly when the secondary part was sloped. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7023 Steel components

Ayrshire Cold rolled sleeved (119): Previously, when switching between a standard sleeve and a firewall condition, the component was not created. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7032 Steel components

Wraparound gusset (60): Previously, weld #1 was changed from workshop weld to site weld in some cases. This issue has now been fixed.
 

TSAC-7051 Steel components

Kingspan File transfer (18): Previously, the CAM data for the counterformed holes ignored the bolt direction and always put them as Counterformed in. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7062 Steel components

Kingspan Standard tie bay (10): Previously, rails drawn in the same direction affected the direction of the counterform. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7064 Steel components

Ayrshire File transfer (92): Swage LC cleats have been added to the Ayrshire File transfer.

TSAC-7067 Steel components

Bolted gusset (11), Tube gusset (20): Previously, the weld between the gusset and the base plate was not created at all in some cases. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7088 Steel components

CMF Cold rolled sleeved (120): Previously, a single-sided stay removed the bolt from the opposite side. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7113 Steel components

CMF Cold rolled sleeved (120): Firewall sleeves and the WSC173 cleat have been added to the profile database for use with CMF Cold rolled sleeved (120).

TSAC-7115 Steel components

Circular base plate (1052): Previously, anchors were created with incorrect placement and they clashed with the base plate when grout had been created. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7164 Steel components

Generation of purlins (50): Previously, connections were not created on both sides of the last roof beam. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-54626 Steel components

Earlier, when you added End plate connection (144) between a column (main part) and Girder (S94) (secondary part), Tekla Structures stopped working and you had to restart it. This issue has now been fixed. 

TSAC-6860 Import, export, interoperability

Layout manager now supports Export Field Link files (.tflx) to export all layout data in the model to a Trimble Field Link device from version 6.3 onward.

TTSD-48454 Import, export, interoperability

IFC2x3 export: The IFCBUILDINGSTOREYs now have correct GUIDs.

TTSD-50086 Import, export, interoperability

Trimble Connector: PDF file attachments could not be opened in the Trimble Connector dialog box unless they had first been downloaded to the local computer by some other means, such as using Trimble Connect Desktop. Now double-clicking the PDF file attachment in the Trimble Connector ToDos dialog box will initiate the file download if necessary, and open the file in an associated viewer or browser.

IFC2x3 export: The UDA building hierarchy and GUID regeneration now work correctly.

Trimble Connector: The overlay models are now listed in the Trimble Connector dialog box when the collaboration is started.

TTSD-53761 Import, export, interoperability

IFC4 export: Previously, the IFC4 export ignored the IFC export hierarchy in the part UDAs, for example, IFC building name and IFC building storey name, and the hierarchy was read from the project UDAs. Now the IFC4 export reads the IFC export hierarchy from the part UDAs.

Base points: You can no longer save a base point without giving a name for the base point.

TTSD-54088 Import, export, interoperability

Import from Tekla Structural Designer: The design intent links for beams transferred from Tekla Structural Designer were clashing with longitudinal bars because the wrong leg faces were created for the rebar sets. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-54090 Import, export, interoperability

IFC4 export: IFC4 export now exports the uncategorized objects from the Organizer hierarchy when the setting Spatial hierarchy from Organizer is selected in the IFC4 export dialog box. Previously, when Building hierarchy was not enabled, the uncategorized objects were not exported.

TTSD-54093 Import, export, interoperability

Base points: Previously, base points with empty name were sometimes saved. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-54200 Import, export, interoperability

Trimble Connector: The local \AppData folder contained two different folders for Trimble Connector, named \Trimble Connector and \TrimbleConnector. Now there is only one folder named \Trimble Connector.

IFC export: IfcCovering now supports property sets.

TPLED-205, TPLED-258 Templates and reports

Previously, a CopyField function could give a wrong result when it was used in a value field with a conditional expression (if-then-else) in its formula. This has now been fixed.

TPLED-260 Templates and reports

Template Editor: When you select a content type in the Select Content Type dialog box after adding a row in Template Editor, the options in the list are now also sorted alphabetically in the translations. Previously, they were sorted correctly in English only.

TPLED-261 Templates and reports

Template Editor: Sometimes GetValue("ROW_IN_PAGE") returned an incorrect value when it was used in a row rule. This issue has now been fixed.

TPLED-263 Templates and reports

Template Editor: Previously, if the value field was center-aligned and you changed the length of the field, the center point of the value field moved. Also, if the value field was right-aligned and the length was changed, the value field position did not work correctly. This issue has now been fixed.

TPLED-266 Templates and reports

Template Editor: Sometimes automatic line wrapping caused value fields with multiple lines to not show the cut value indicator "***". This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-54256 Templates and reports

In the "Rebar Bending Schedule-A4" report template, pullout pictures for certain curved rebar sets now contain curved bar graphics.

TSAC-6940 Drawings

View-specific dimensioning: The Filter dimensioning method did not always work for objects that contained added material. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6965 Drawings

Rebar assembly drawings: Overall, filter and grid dimensions were not working if the drawing only contained a rebar assembly. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7169 Drawings

View-specific dimensioning: When using the drawing dimensioning method Filter to dimension a large group of stirrups created with a rebar set, the drawing creation and update was very slow, so that Tekla Structures seemed unresponsive. This issue has now been fixed and the speed is back to normal.
 

TTSD-20438 Drawings

Rebar marks: Previously, when XS_ENABLE_REBAR_MARK_LEADER_LINE_BASE_POINT_OPTIMIZATION was set to TRUE, any rebar mark leader line associativity points could be moved. Now the optimization is only applied to the marks that have the Placing method value Free. In practice, this prevents the optimization from moving manually moved marks, because moving a mark manually changes the value of its Placing method to Fixed.

TTSD-39833 Drawings

Rebar marks: Sometimes, when there was no frame around the reinforcement mark, and there was a circular frame around one of the mark elements, and you dragged the mark, the circular frame had a strange behavior: the frame was on top of the leader line in one end and moved slowly to the middle of the leader line in the other end. This behavior was observed when XS_MARK_LEADER_LINE_POSITION_TYPE_FOR_NO_FRAME was set to 4, where the leader line connects to the frame around the mark element. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-39990 Drawings

Rebar marks: Earlier, when you used the One leader line per row option for rebar marks, and the row was slanted, the mark might not be connected to the best side. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-42853 Drawings

Rebar marks: Earlier, when you created a rebar mark with the One leader line per row option for rebars along arc, a leader line with a partial zig zag shape was created. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-45613 Drawings

Rebar marks: A rebar mark that was created with applied properties did not work correctly on update. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-53713, TTSD-42833, TTSD-54081 Drawings

Rebar marks: Rebar marks were not drawn at all if the rebar mark text_type was incorrectly set in the attributes file on view or drawing level. To fix the situation in an existing model, recreate the marks or modify the view or drawing level settings for rebar or neighbor rebar marks.

TTSD-53805 Drawings

Rebar marks: Earlier, showing the minimum length and maximum length for a tapered rebar group in a reinforcement mark was only taking into account the rebars inside the drawing view boundary. This issue has now been fixed, and these parameters now show the minimum and maximum length within the rebar group, irrespective of the drawing view boundary.

TTSD-54206 Drawings

Drawing texts: Earlier, the Background mask setting in Text properties did not follow toggle check box changes. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-54250 Drawings

Drawing views: Earlier, when you moved a drawing view to another drawing so that view objects were also selected, Tekla Structures stopped responding. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-54577 Drawings

Fabrication drawings: Tekla Structures could sometimes stop responding when you enabled Smart create for a rebar assembly in the Creation review dialog box. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-52271, TTSD-52268 Tekla Model Sharing

Previously, Tekla Model Sharing features became inactive after the first write out or read in when using the Construction Modeling, Production Planner, EPM Modeler, Project Viewer, Drafter, or Carbon license. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-53184 Tekla Model Sharing

Previously, in Tekla Model Sharing, the read in icon was deactivated in some cases when the user with the Viewer role and the Project Viewer license read in more than one package. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-53236 Tekla Model Sharing

When a Tekla Model Sharing user has the Project viewer role, Tekla Structures now prevents modifications which would later cause the write out to be rejected, such as grid modifications.

TTSD-47112 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: The End preparations properties of end detail modifiers (method, type, product, code, thread type, threaded length, extra fabrication length) are now added to the affected rebar set bars as attributes with an _S or _L suffix. The _S suffix is used if the end preparation is placed at the "short leg" end of the bar, and the _L suffix is used with the "long leg" end. The _S and _L suffixes are available in addition to the existing _START and _END suffixes that are already in use.

TTSD-51568 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: The Ctrl+drag operation of rebar set guidelines was fixed so that if the rebar set already contains the maximum number of guidelines, Ctrl+drag does not copy the selected guideline, but just moves it.

TTSD-52617 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: Previously, in some cases, incorrect bars were generated when adjacent leg faces were at a very small angle from each other. These issues have now been fixed.

TTSD-54109 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: Tekla Structures might unexpectedly stop working if the rebar set spacing offsets were too large for the guideline length and if a modifier with 'affected bars' properties was applied to the rebar set. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-54238 Reinforcement

Rebar set hooks were sometimes shown incorrectly in drawings. These issues have now been fixed.

TTSD-54424 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: When rebar set problems are found in model opening, all rebar sets are now recalculated to fix the source of the problems. In certain cases, rebar set bar relations have been wrong, and because of that bars might have been attached to wrong parts.
In addition, there might have been issues with leg faces being automatically flipped in the wrong direction. This issue has now been fixed as well.

TTSD-50354 Modeling

Previously, the direct modification commands stopped working when you used the Enter key to complete numeric input. This has now been fixed, and using the Enter key to complete the numeric input does not end the direct modification commands anymore.

TTSD-50980 Modeling

Previously, Tekla Structures stopped working if XS_PROJECT contained subfolders in a language that was not supported by the current Windows locale. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-51539 Modeling

Now, when multiple bent plate or lofted plate parts in a component are updated, the corresponding existing object is identified more reliably. 

TTSD-52931 Modeling

In some rare cases, when creating a bolt hole through round profiles, the hole was shown incorrectly. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-53103 Modeling

Sometimes when multi-user models were saved, the length of some bolts might have changed. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-53312 Modeling

When the advanced option XS_DELETE_UNNECESSARY_POLYGONPARTS is set to TRUE, using the Repair model command now makes very large model database files (.db1) significantly smaller.

TTSD-53402 Modeling

Bolt properties are now more thoroughly checked before modification to prevent defective bolts from being created in the model database.

TTSD-53453 Modeling

The building properties are now shown in the Building hierarchy dialog box when the site is selected in the hierarchy tree. The site properties are shown when the project is selected in the hierarchy tree.

TTSD-53463 Modeling

Building hierarchy: You can now create levels at the same elevation.

TTSD-53587 Modeling

In the Building hierarchy dialog box, the Modify button now becomes active when you make a change in the table. Otherwise, the button is not active.

TTSD-53695 Modeling

You can now change the sorting direction of the columns in the Building hierarchy dialog box by clicking the heading of a column.

Solid errors occurring with certain sandwich walls have now been fixed.

TTSD-54607 Modeling

Sometimes, Tekla Structures might have stopped working when objects were copied or moved to another object in the model. This does not happen anymore.

TTSD-54611 Modeling

Previously, the width and height of parts with sketched profiles was sometimes incorrectly calculated with the reference function fp. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-54840 Modeling

If you used the Create shape from geometry command from the context menu, then selected a bolt and pressed Enter, Tekla Structures tried to apply the Create shape from geometry command on the bolt, and then unexpectedly stopped working. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-49612 Core

Previously, Tekla Structures process stayed running in the background when Tekla Structures was closed while a command was active. This does not happen anymore.

TTSD-52639 Numbering

Rebar sets: An issue was fixed where rebar sets became unnumbered (position numbers became out of date) after saving and reopening a certain model.

TTSD-53860 Numbering

In some rare cases, when using a negative cut length for bolts, the placement of bolts did not affect numbering. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-54302 Numbering

Identical, irregularly spaced reinforcement meshes with cross bars on opposite sides will no longer receive the same position number.

TTSD-46477 Import, export, interoperability (steel)

NC/DSTV: Earlier, when a bolt hole was going through two sections of a sketched profile, only one BO block was created instead of two in the NC export. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-54549 Import, export, interoperability (steel)

NC/DSTV: Earlier, drilled holes (holes modeled by cut) that were converted to bolt holes through the Maximum diameter for circular cuts to be drilled export setting did not follow the XS_CNC_HOLE_DIAMETER_ROUNDING advanced option. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6368 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export Unitechnik (79): Previously, some reinforcing bars copied from an existing braced girder were recognized as braced girders. This issue has now been fixed, and only elements specified by class or by name are recognized as braced girders.

Export ELiPLAN file (68)
The option to create weep holes has been moved from the Weep holes tab to the Plotter data tab.
You can now specify the following offsets on the Weep holes tab:

  • An offset for weep holes at side pockets with the new At side recess/opening option.
  • An offset for weep holes at recesses or openings with the new At end zones recess/opening option.
  • An offset for weep holes at lifting loops with the new At lifting loops option.
  • An offset for weep holes at notches with the new At notches option.

Now you can also merge weep holes if they are within the distance specified for the new Merge weep holes, closer than option.
 

TSAC-6981 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export Unitechnik (79): If a contour polygon contains edges shorter than 10 mm, a notification will be added in the Unitechnic log file.

TSAC-6984 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export EliPLAN file (68): Previously, some elements with complex geometry were exported with incorrect length. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6997 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export Unitechnik (79): Previously, the Z coordinate of the electric tubes was not exported at all. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-7105 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export ELiPLAN file (68): Element corner cuts created by line cuts in the model are now exported with a dedicated type code to the ELiPLAN file.
