Mesh bars/Mesh bars by area: New bar end condition and additional support bars

  • On the Bar end conditions tab, there is a new end condition that creates an inward bent hook in a 135-degree angle. You can define the hook height.

    TSAC-6383

  • On the Detailing tab, there is now a new setting, Create support bars for loose bars, that you can use to define whether additional support bars are created for the loose bars in the mesh.

    • Yes, without extended support bar creates support bars for loose bars only within the range of the loose bars.

    • Yes, with extended support bar extends support bars to the whole mesh area.

You can define the overlap length for the support bars. The length defines how much the additional bars overlap with the existing mesh.

Template Editor: Page headers and footers were sometimes missing with the Use columns property set. This issue has now been fixed.

TPLED-236 Templates and reports

Template Editor: The column gap in tables is no longer too narrow.  Note that if column headers or footers were created by a fixed number of columns instead of using the Use columns property, then there can be a misalignment of column borders between cells and column headers or footers. In this case, edit the header or footer definitions by either using the Use columns property, or manually realigning the header or footer content.

TPLED-237 Templates and reports

Template Editor: Tables were sometimes places too low when multiple pages were used. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-17729 Templates and reports

Template Editor: Horizontal template output now works when the template uses a variable number of columns.

TTSD-46625 Templates and reports

Previously, the values returned by the template attributes END1_CODE and END2_CODE were not correct for polybeams. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-49576 Templates and reports

Sometimes, templates were misplaced in the drawing layout when template columns were filled from right to left (the Start from setting was set to Top right or Bottom right in Template Editor row properties). This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-49768 Drawings

Rebar set groups: Previously, rebar set groups were 'exploded' in drawings if they were found to contain multiple pours, for example, due to a pour break. Now, rebar set groups are only exploded in GA drawings where Show pours in drawing is set to Yes. Note that GA drawings created prior to this change that have Show pours in drawing set to No, have to be recreated by switching Show pours in drawing to Yes and then back to No to display the rebars correctly.

TTSD-49988 Drawings

Document manager: Document manager was not able to show file changes for monitored folders if the folder path contained non-Latin characters. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-50024 Drawings

Fabrication drawings: The file selection in the Smart create overrides list in the Creation review dialog box is now synchronized with what has been selected in the Smart create overrides dialog box.

TTSD-50232 Drawings

Earlier, when you had set the XS_BOLT_DUPLICATE_IGNORE advanced option to TRUE, certain studs were sometimes considered as duplicates. Due to to this, these studs were not shown in drawing views. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-50604, TTSD-50542 Drawings

The Create cut line command in drawings now works.

TTSD-50801 Drawings

Earlier, rebar marks with perpendicular lines were created with inclined lines. This issue has now been fixed. When you define the rebar marks in view properties, ensure that you set the frame type and color. The environments should also have appropriate rebar mark properties defined including desired frame type and color.

TTSD-49481 Tekla Model Sharing

In Tekla Model Sharing, the logging for model sharing network failures has been improved.

TTSD-46830 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: Leg faces can now be selected also by clicking on an edge of the leg face.

TTSD-48920 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: The commands Attach to part and Detach from part have been added to the property modifier context menu. You can use the commands to manually assign rebar set bars that intersect the property modifier to a concrete part.

TTSD-50035 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: Previously, if part labels were visible in model views, numbering objects left rebar sets unnumbered if the rebar sets were affected by surfaces that defined concrete cover thickness values. This issue has been fixed.

TTSD-50138 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: An issue was fixed where selecting a rebar set with a certain leg surface caused Tekla Structures to stop responding and close suddenly.

TTSD-50278 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: An issue was fixed whereby the first or last bar in exact spacing with flexible first or last space was missing when the flexible space was very small. The logic for exact spacings has been changed to match that of rebar groups.

TTSD-50299 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: An issue was fixed whereby after using the rebar set layer editing commands, the coupler and end anchor components would sometimes not place those objects correctly.

TTSD-50304 Reinforcement

Rebar sets: In rebar sets that contained overlapping leg faces, the geometric projection of modifiers might sometimes be incorrect and the modifiers might not be applied to the correct bars. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-45502 Modeling

Previously, the commands to create construction circles, arcs, and polycurves did not follow the setting of the Snap to any position switch. This now has been fixed.

TTSD-48745 Modeling

Previously, sometimes when a radial grid had a manually added grid line, the reports of the parts located on the added grid line were showing incorrect part position on the grid.

TTSD-49871 Modeling

Previously, corner chamfers were lost in certain situations when a slab or plate that was placed on a user-created work plane was being split. This has now been fixed.

Additionally, picking points on chamfered plates or slabs on the work plane now works correctly.

TTSD-49952 Modeling

Previously, when the bolt diameter was specified as a decimal number, it might happen that incorrect bolt properties were selected from the bolt assembly catalog. This has now been fixed.

TTSD-50532, TTSD-50547, TTSD-50868 Modeling

In Tekla Structures 2022, bolt holes were not shown correctly in model views in some cases. There was an issue with XS_DRAW_BOLTS_3D_IN_BOLT_LAYER set to TRUE and, for example, when bolt holes were created through both flanges of an I beam. This issue has now been fixed.

TTSD-44588 Numbering

The Change part number ribbon command can now be used to change the position number of rebar set bars. The Select single rebars or Select rebar groups selection switch should be used to select the bars required. The Select rebar sets switch cannot be used with the command, because a rebar set may contain bars with many different position numbers.

TTSD-47301 Numbering

The "Numbering is not up to date" message did not appear when you were opening a single-part drawing that was previously created, it was missing since Tekla Structures 2021. Now the message appears as expected.

Previously, some component objects ended up in a wrong assembly after copying. This has now been fixed.

TSAC-5193 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export Unitechnik (79): The export of the reinforcement from rebar assemblies is now supported. Rebar assemblies of the types Mesh, Bent mesh and Roll mat are collected and exported as mesh. The rebar assembly type is defined in rebar assembly properties. If the rebar assembly type is undefined or Cage, the rebar assemblies are exported as cages. Rebar assemblies of the type Braced girder are exported as braced girders, and those of the type Embed are exported as mountparts. As the cage is not supported in Unitechnik versions below 6.1.0., the cage rebars will be exported as loose.

TSAC-6160 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export Unitechnik (79): Previously, some symbol definition file settings caused the symbol to be offset from the correct location. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6427 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export ELiPLAN file (68): Previously, border lines were exported unnecessarily. This issue has now been fixed.

TSAC-6430, TSAC-5756 Import, export, interoperability (concrete)

Export ELiPLAN file (68): Previously, net area was sometimes exported as a negative value, or was exported incorrectly for some elements with certain types of cuts or recesses. These issues have now been fixed.
