Product bulletin: Changes to editing rights in Tekla Warehouse
Previously, all employees in an organization had editing rights for Tekla Warehouse content that belonged to their organization. As a security enhancement, only users who have the Tekla Warehouse Content Editor role have editing rights for their organization's content starting from November 12, 2024. As a result of this change, existing users will lose their current editing rights until their organization's administrator assigns the Tekla Warehouse Content Editor role to them.
Instructions for Tekla Warehouse users
If you need editing rights in Tekla Warehouse, ask your organization's administrator to assign the Tekla Warehouse Content Editor role to you. You can check who is your organization’s administrator in your Tekla Online Profile.
You can check your role in Tekla Warehouse under My Warehouse > My Details after November 11, 2024. If you do not see the options to create or edit content for your organization in Tekla Warehouse, you do not have the Tekla Warehouse Content Editor role.
Instructions for Tekla Online administrators
As the Tekla Online administrator for your organization, you must take action to ensure that users who need editing rights in Tekla Warehouse continue to have them.
In the Tekla Online Admin tool, assign the Tekla Warehouse Content Editor role to all users who need to create, edit, and delete the Tekla Warehouse content of your organization. You can assign the role to both employees and external license users.
Tekla Online administrators do not have the Tekla Warehouse Content Editor role by default. If you or other Tekla Online administrators need to create, edit, and delete the Tekla Warehouse content of your organization, assign the Tekla Warehouse Content Editor role to yourself or to the other Tekla Online administrators in the Tekla Online Admin tool.
