Why is my antivirus flagging the Tekla install file as containing a threat?

We have seen a few reports from users whereby some antivirus flags the Tekla installation files as containing a threat, for example

We have processes in place to ensure our downloads do not contain threats, but sometimes antivirus programs will flag them with what is called a false positive.

In order to verify that the file you have downloaded is the same file that we have distributed please check the hash of the file you have downloaded before running the downloaded file on your system.

Using a command prompt you can use a Windows tool to generate the hash for your instance of the downloaded file via the following syntax:

certutil -hashfile <filename> sha256
