Why can I not see shortening zigzag symbol in my view?

Question:
Why can I not see any shortening zigzag symbol in some of my views?
Answer:
Check that you have set the correct advanced options.
You can select whether the shortening symbols are shown or not using the advanced options XS_DRAW_HORIZONTAL_VIEW_SHORTENING_SYMBOLS_TO_PARTS and XS_DRAW_VERTICAL_VIEW_SHORTENING_SYMBOLS_TO_PARTS.
Additionally, you can choose the shortening symbol line shape (straight line or zigzag line) using the advanced option XS_SHORTENING_SYMBOL_WITH_ZIGZAG.
If this did not help, the reason why you cannot see the zigzag symbol in some of your views is probably because there is not enough space on the paper to fit the zigzag symbol. The symbol should be able to fit inside the shortened part. See the picture below. The zigzag symbol is 5 mm tall (in real paper size). If you change the scale of your views to 1:1 you will see clearly. You can only get the symbol in sections that are taller than 5 mm.
