What do I do when Tekla Structures does not find the borrowed license?

You borrowed a license, disconnected from the network, and when you open Tekla Structures, the “Tekla Structures - Connect to License Server” window appears, Tekla Structures does not find the borrowed license.

If Tekla Structures does not start up with the borrowed license, please type only an asterisk character (*) into the “Server address:” field of “Tekla Structures - Connect to License Server” window.

This will force Tekla Structure to search for all possible locations for the license. It might take some time until it finds the license, but it will find it. Probably the next startup will smooth, and the Connect to License Server dialog will not appear.
