Using model template Anchorboltplan
General
Tekla Structures includes several model templates by default. You can use these model templates as a basis when you create new models:
You can select a model template in the field Template. Each model template contains specific predefined settings, and the settings of the selected model template are saved in the new Tekla Structures model when you create the new model.
The availability of these model template depends on the configuration with which you start Tekla Structures.
In addition, you can also define model templates yourself, perhaps per client in which, for example, the company logo of the relevant client is shown in the bottom right corner of the drawing or in which specific settings of the client are used.
When you define a model template yourself, you save the desired settings in a Tekla Structures model and use that model as an example when creating new models. Click here for detailed information about creating model templates.
From Tekla Structures 2021 SP3 on, model template Anchorboltplan is available. In this article we will focus specifically on this model template and its settings.
Settings model template Anchorboltplan
Tekla Structures includes model template Anchorboltplan that you can use specifically when you create anchorboltplans (general arrangement drawings) and production drawings (assembly and single-part drawings of anchor sets/molds and anchors). The defined model template Anchorboltplan is based on the usage of system component Footplate (1029).
The values in this component are written and used in the templates. So, these are numbers that can be used for calculating.
By default, the values in the templates are shown in millimeters, but this can be any desired unit.
As mentioned, the fields that you have entered in the relevant system component are copied to the output, such as in templates. For example:
Below you can see the specific settings of model template Anchorboltplan.
General arrangement drawings
Dialog box General arrangement drawing properties includes the adjusted setting anchorboltplan 1 scale:
in which the following object level settings are used:
This concerns settings for the specific representation of part labels for cast plates (where the cast plate together with the anchors forms 1 assembly as a mold), loose anchors and columns and the exact representation of the profile cross-section of the columns:
In addition, a number of specific templates are used.
Bottom left on the general arrangement drawing:
Template bottom_side_baseplate.tpl was already included in Tekla Structures, but in the template in the model template, the assembly numbers have been added.
topside_castplate.tpl template is included in the model template. Tekla Structures already contained a template named topside_castplate.tpl. Template topside_castplate.tpl is a copy of template topside_castplate.tpl and the assembly numbers have been added.
Template anchor_list.tpl was already included in Tekla Structures, but the anchor type and the dimensions have been added in this template.
Template legend anchors.tpl has been added in Tekla Structures. The images used in the template are stored in the folder ..\ConstrusoftEuropean\General\template\bitmaps
Top left in the general arrangement drawing:
Template assemblypartlist_castplate_anchor.tpl is added in Tekla Structures.
The templates are included in template layout anchor-bolt-plan:
You can of course adjust the template layout according to your needs. Click here for more information about creating and editing drawing layouts.
Production drawings
For generating production drawings, several wizard files in the Master Drawing Catalog have been modified:
so that assembly drawings are generated from the molds (the cast plate and the anchors form 1 assembly):
In these assembly drawings, the templates assemblypartlist_castplate_anchor_A.tpl (also shows the finish) and legend anchors_A.tpl are used:
Template legend anchors_A.tpl and assemblypartlist_castplate_anchor_A.tpl have been added in Tekla Structures. The images used in template legend anchors_A.tpl are stored in the folder ..\construsofteuropean\General\Template\bitmaps
For the loose anchors, single-part drawings are generated:
In these single-part drawings, the templates pos_assembly_anchor.tpl, anchor_list_W.tpl and legend anchors.tpl are used:
Single-part drawings are also generated for the nuts and the washers, but their drawing name is NUT/WASHER:
This allows you to easily find these drawings and perform the desired actions.
