Case:
VD is running / VD starting please check vendor daemon status. It might be also along with the error -15, 570.

Before you begin:

  1. Please ensure that you have a recent backup copy of the trusted storage. See this article for more information on how to create a back-up of your licenses.
  2. If you have other FLEXnet services installed/running on the same server/computer, you will need to stop them all before you proceed.
  3. Make sure that you have a supported operating system. Note that Tekla Structures License Server 2016 SP1 is NOT compatible with Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 and its family of operating systems.


Solution:

  1. Stop the license server from LMTOOLS > Start/Stop/Reread tab.
  2. Uninstall the Tekla Structures License Server from the control panel.
  3. Delete tekla.opt, tekla.lic and tekla.debug.log files from C: > TeklaStructures > License > Server
  4. Install the latest version of Tekla Structures License Server 2016 SP1 with administrator rights. Choose automatic installation for normal setup. 
  5. Open Tekla Structures License Administration Tool. Click the Notify Server button. It should turn green.
  6. Navigate to Statistic tab and see if the licenses are free/ available. If not, Reread the license server from LMTOOLS > Start/Stop/Reread tab.
  7. If all of the above is done and the license is available in statistic tab, open LMTOOLS, go to Server Status tab and click on Perform Status Enquiry.

This should solve the problem. In case the problem still persists, please contact your Tekla Structures office/reseller.
