Using Profile Subgroups

Using the profile user attribute ‘Profile Subgroups’, you can call out the short name for a part as shown below.

To add a Profile Subgroup name to a profile:
• Go to Modeling > Profiles > Profile Catalog to open the profile catalog.
• Select the profile you want to create a sub-profile for.
• Select the User attributes tab.

• If there is a Property field for Profile Subgroup, then add the name in the Value Field

• If there is not a Profile Subgroup Property field, create one by clicking the “Definitions” button at the bottom of the User attributes tab.

• Once in the Definitions dialog box, add a new definition by first clicking the Add button, edit the values this produces, then click the Update button.

• Click the OK button, and then add a value to the Profile Subgroup. You will need to click the Update button once to get the new attribute to appear, then press it again after you have entered a value.

Click OK, then OK again to save.
