Report Filters

UDA's can be used to assist in filtering report.

This allows groups of elements with the same UDA name to be included in a report.

Step 12. From the Report ribbon, create an Example report via the Model Report... command, which includes a Material Listing, Steel Beam Design Summary and Beam End Force chapters as the screenshot below

Note currently this is for the entire Structure

We can utilise UDA's as filters. If we want to re-use them in different reports and report sections we can create a Filter name.

We will do this now by following the steps in the screenshot below.

Step 13. Create a Primary UDAs filter for re-use
  1. Right click the Chapter you wish to filter to see the filter options available (Model, Loading, Analysis etc.)
  2. Select the filter option, in this case Model Filter. Structure is the only one that currently exists so choose Edit/New
  3. Click Add
  4. Choose from the type of Filters you can apply. In this case Selected UDAs
  5. Select the UDAs you want to include, in this case Primary Beam
  6. Rename the filter so it is useful in the future
  7. Click Ok to save the information

Step 14. Apply this newly created UDA filter to the other sections in the report

Step 15. Select the Example report in the Select drop list and click Show Report to display the report on the screen

The report will only now contain items that are part of the selected UDA filter.
