Formwork drophead shoring

This page contains instructions and documentation on how to use the Drophead Shoring plugin installed with the USA Formwork Tools TSEP package on the Tekla Warehouse.

Usage

Tool for creating formwork for systems that are Drophead Slab Formwork.  These systems are typically comprised of a prop width a head (drophead) that can be released to disassemble the beams.  For the beams, there are typically primary beams that span from prop-to-prop and secondary beams that rest on the primary beams.

After applying appropriate settings, pick two points:

  1. Pick first point to position origin of the first prop.
  2. Pick second point to define the direction to space the props.

Configuration *.DropHeadShoring.csv

This section contains information and instructions to setup a new formwork configuration file for the Drophead  Shoring plugin.  The file must end with .DropheadShoring.csv

Example: MyFormworkSystem.DropheadShoring.csv

Preliminary Requirements

You must first define the formwork products to be useable with the Formwork Custom Part plugin and to be properly placed the must follow the Required Coordinate System section for that plugin's TUA page.

Units

Before the header row is defined for each parameter, there should be one row that defines the unit.  The format should be:

DISTANCE UNIT=INCH

After the equals (=) sign, use the distance type used for each of the parameter values.  Available unit types include: INCH, FT, FEET, MM, CM, DM, M.

Parameters

All Types (see Type parameter below) require Supplier, Family, Type, Name, and ProductName.  Other fields beyond those mentioned may be required and are mentioned below in the table.

Parameter Description and required fields (if applicable)
Supplier The name of the Supplier of the system.  Typically this will be the same value for each row.
Family The name of the Family of the system.  Typically this will be the same value for each row.
Type

The type of formwork element being defined.  Allowed values:

  • HEAD
    • (Match same value as MinLength field referenced above)
