Users have reported receiving the error 'Could not save preferences. Please check tpled.ini file permissions.'

To change folder permissions from read-only, follow these steps:

Navigate to the template folder C:\ProgramData\Trimble\Tekla Structures\<version>\Environments\USA\Imperial\General to allow full permission to that folder. Right-click the folder
Select Properties from the context menu.
Navigate to the Security tab.
Click the Edit button to change permissions.
In the Permissions window, select the user or group for which you want to change permissions.
Check the Full Control box to grant full permissions, or customize the permissions as needed.
Click Apply and then OK to save the changes.
