For how long are service pack updates provided for each software version?

Tekla software product maintenance is about security updates, corrections commonly known as fixes, and improvements. These can be released via software updates which are available for a main version for one year after its release. After the first year the main version goes to an extended maintenance phase up to four years and only critical corrections and cyber security related changes might be released as needed at Trimble’s sole discretion. You can download service pack versions at the Tekla Downloads service.

You can continue using older versions, but you should not expect any software updates to be available.

Am I entitled to an upgrade?

New major versions of Tekla Structures are included in Tekla Structures subscriptions and maintenance contracts. Customers who pay their yearly subscription or maintenance fees are entitled to run the latest released version.

Can I get support for out-of-maintenance versions?

Technical support is included in subscriptions and maintenance contracts, and we will do our best to provide technical support for any previous versions of Tekla Structures that you still need in your projects.

Our support specialists will troubleshoot your issues on systems running Windows versions that Microsoft still supports using Tekla Structures versions that can be installed on those systems. Technical support may suggest workarounds or upgrading to a newer version if you are unable to accomplish some task with an older version.

Where can I find details on supported versions and the full contract terms?

The full end-of-life information for all Tekla products can be found on our main website.

Tekla Structures maintenance and use of the software is governed by the terms of sale, EULA, and maintenance and support terms.
