1. Environment initialization files

Env_Finland.ini

XS_MODEL_TEMPLATE_DIRECTORY was removed as the folder does not exist any more. The Start Model Concrete template model was removed already from TS2020 and the components in it are now available in Tekla Warehouse.
Definition for XS_DEFAULT_BREP_PATH previously was incomplete. The path is now corrected to %XSDATADIR%\Environments\Finland\General\.

Role ini-files

Added new variables for each role to define the ribbon configurations to be used with the new license types Carbon, Graphite and Diamond. The new variables are XS_RIBBON_CONFIGURATION_CARBON, XS_RIBBON_CONFIGURATION_GRAPHITE and XS_RIBBON_CONFIGURATION_DIAMOND. You can use these new attributes to define the ribbons used with each role/configuration combinatios.

Role_ENU_Contractor.ini and role_FIN_Rakennusurakoitsija.ini: removed line for XS_USE_DASHED_HIDDEN_LINES since the option will from now on be available in File Menu > Settings > Switches.

Bypass.ini

Bypass.ini-file was updated with new lines for setting the license server host (on-premises server or online) and includes the new license types Carbon, Graphite and Diamond. The paths were also updated.

Tpled.ini

Corrected the path for images. The path previously led to a non-existing folder environments\finland\template\bitmaps. Images are now searched in folder Environments\Finland\bitmaps.

2. Modeling

User-defined attributes

Previously items and concrete items did not have the localized UDA tabs that other object types have (except workflow UDAs). Items and concrete items now have the same set of user-defined attributes as beams and concrete beams.

The FI-Numbering tab (FI-Numerointi) has now been ultimately removed from UDA dialogs. The contents were moved to other tabs already in TS2020 SP3.

BT Pile information tab (BT Paalutarketiedot) has now been converted to assembly level, so the tab is no more available for columns and beams, but it's available for steel- and precast concrete assemblies.

UDA PILE_NUMBER has been converted from integer (number) data type to string (text). This allows formats such as 101A to be assigned to the attribute.

UDAs ELEMENT_WEIGHT and UNIT_WEIGHT have been used for defining the calculation of element weights to differ from the standard formula of material density multiplied by volume, using a manually defined unit weight. However, the reports and templates have since evolved and do not use this unit weight anymore, and furthermore the UDA ELEMENT_WEIGHT was interfering with custom property CUSTOM.ELEMENT_WEIGHT in drawing part marks. For these reasons, UDAs ELEMENT_WEIGHT and UNIT_WEIGHT were removed.

Project UDA tab FI-Coordinate System Location (FI-Koordinaatiston sijainti) has been hidden from dialogs, and the details shall now be filled in the Base point dialog. The removed UDA fields did not affect the actual model, whereas Base point can be used for correcting model coordinates in exports etc. Coordinate system and level system should now be typed in Base point -dialog's Coordinate system -field (see picture below), separated by a semi-colon (;). The part before semi-colon is returned with attribute CUSTOM.COORDINATE_SYSTEM, and the part following the semi-colon can be fetched with attribute CUSTOM.LEVEL_SYSTEM. The complete documentation for the new custom properties will be updated in Finland environment custom properties page.

3. Templates & Reports

Pile list reports have been updated to handle assemblies instead of parts, and this has been reflected in the filenames too. The pile list report is now A_Pile_list.Excel.rpt and the Excel template for it is A_Pile_list.xls. The new report uses new custom properties, and it supports now also steel piles created with SSAB's Steel piles extension. The numbering, translating and rotation functions have been removed from the Excel template, and numbering of piles is recommended to be carried out with extension Assign Sequential UDAs, and translations and rotations of coordinates are to be handled with Base point feature.

Service pack 2 updates

  • Some new custom properties have been added to the environment. The new properties are CUSTOM.EMBED.BELONGS_TO, CUSTOM.EMBED.BUILDING, CUSTOM.EMBED.PRODUCT_CODE (added in the pre-existing CustomEmbedProperties.dll) and CUSTOM.ASSEMBLY_TYPE, CUSTOM.CROSS_SECTION_TYPE, CUSTOM.IFC_GUID, CUSTOM.MANUFACTURED_AT, CUSTOM.MATERIAL_TYPE and CUSTOM.OBJECT_TYPE (included in a new CustomObjectTypeProperties.dll). The details of the new custom properties are documented in the Finland environment custom properties page.
  • IFC export property set BEC:
    • Of the new custom properties listed above, CUSTOM.EMBED.PRODUCT_CODE and CUSTOM.ASSEMBLY_TYPE were added to IFC export property set BEC. Now for example Peikko's products are written in complete details, thanks to the new CUSTOM.EMBED.PRODUCT_CODE. Additionally, TALO2000_CODE, PRECAMBERING and assembly WIDTH, HEIGTH and LENGTH were added to the property set.

    • Hollow core slabs with profile P32K and with bathroom recesses returned incorrect values for net areas in IFC models written with BEC property sets. The attribute CUSTOM.HC_NET_AREA has a bug which is being fixed, but until it gets fixed, the value that's written in IFC models is fetched with attribute AREA_PROJECTION_XZ_NET that returns more reliable values. In the picture below you can see on the left the value for net area that is written into IFC with previous versions property set, and on the right the new value. The slab has no holes so its net area should be the same as gross area.

    • The contents of IFC export property set BEC were re-ordered in a more logical order. They used to be written in an inverse direction, so details were written at the top and the more general information were at the bottom.
  • Added new UDA's:
    • MANUFACTURED_AT attribute on FI-General tab for defining whether the part/assembly is produced on site or factory (related to CUSTOM.MANUFACTURED_AT)

      Image
      fi_manufacturedat_uda
    • P_AUTH_MUNICIPAL in FI-Authority tab on project UDAs for setting the municipality of the project
      Image
      fi_pauthmunicipal_uda
    • P_IFC_DATA_VERSION in FI-Model version tab to set, which version of nomenclature has been used on IFC-export for the common names of object type and material type (related to FI_RAK_IFC-tietosisältö-project)
  • Drawing template ALL_Title_coord_sys.tpl: the coordinate system and level system now use the new custom attributes CUSTOM.COORDINATE_SYSTEM and CUSTOM.LEVEL_SYSTEM (see Pile custom properties)

Service pack 3 updates

  • Fixed a rule in filter "Materiaali - Puu" that caused non-timber assemblies to appear under Timber category in Organizer
  • C_Embed_list.tpl: The insulation rows with exact same name, material, thickness and product description are combined, but their areas were not summed before. This has now been fixed so that the areas within those rows is summed up.

Service pack 4 updates

  • Added standard file for NC header (standard.nch) to fix the issue with the contents being in wrong order. In the localized standard file, piece number comes before phase number.

Service pack 8 updates

  • Fixed the error in ALL_Title_coord_sys.tpl that was previously only shown if the already hidden udas P_COORD_SYSTEM and P_LEVEL_SYSTEM had any value. Now the template is checking if CUSTOM.COORDINATE_SYSTEM or CUSTOM.LEVEL_SYSTEM returns any value, and if not, the template is hidden.

Service pack 9 updates

  • Added O-profiles (for BEC Hollow Core Slab profiles) on FloorLayout.ini-file, which defines limits for allowed slab widths and lengths. The O-profiles use the same limits as the previously existing P-profiles.
  • Removed value 0 for revision row limit in drawing settings A_brace.ad.more, A_railing.ad.more, A_stair.ad.more, A_truss.ad.more, W_beam.wd.more, W_bentplate_unfolded.wd.more, W_plate.wd.more and W_stringer.wd.more. Now ALL_Revision.tpl should list all revisions without any limitations when using those drawing attributes.
