1. Steel Settings:

1.1 Modelling:

Lofted plate:

Lofted plate is a new feature. It is an easy way to create a rolled plate between two construction objects or a single construction object & a point.

1) You can use this tool to create complex geometry with straight, single curved and double curved shapes.

2) It continues the development process from construction objects to complex geometry in Tekla Structures.

1.5 Organizer:

1.5.1 Category Modified:

"Bolts, Welds & Components" categories modified.

Image
Bolts_Organizer.png

Image
Weld_organizer.png

Image
Connection_Organizer.png

1.5.2 New category added:

New category added to find start & end point of the parts, named as "Tofind_Same start & end point (Refer Count in Object browser)"

New organizer filter (ob-Part_All_Steel.OrgObjGrp) & new property template (Duplicate parts.propertytemplate) added for the same.

You can use this category to find the duplicate profiles from the "Count" in object browser.

For an example, If 2 profiles are having the same start, end points (Duplicate profiles) in all 3 axes ,you will find the "Count" as "2" in object browser.

Image
Organizer_Duplicate.png

Addtional notes: You may find the profile count more than 1 but which are not duplicate due to position parameters from this category.

For an example, you will find the "Count" as "2" in object browser, if 2 profiles are having the same start & end points in all 3 axes,
but controlled the position with the help of "Part "position" tab.

Image
Organizer.png

Image
Organizer_position.png

Image
Org_Left.png

Image
Org_right.png

So this category can be used to identify the parts which have the same start & end points in all 3 axes, then you can get the duplicate parts
from the same if any available.

2. Concrete Settings

2.1 Rebar Set

2.1.1 Cranking functionality in splitter

Crank offset values for standard cranking are adjusted now correctly in Rebar_database.inp file.

Image
1.png

2.1.2 End detail modifier – Cranking

Attribute(s): Crank End.rst_edm

You can use this attribute settings to have crank at end detail modifier.

Image
2.1.png

Image
2.2.png

2.1.3 Face specific concrete covers:

Attribute(s): Concrete cover.srfo

Now you can provide concrete cover in surface properties for particular face using this option.

Image
3.png

2.1.4 Property modifier standard file

Attribute(s): standard.rst_pm

Default Rebar set standard file creates Rebar of size 12 and class 3. So, the property modifier standard file is set to create Rebar of size 20 and class 2.

Image
4.1.png

Image
4.2.png

2.1.5 New Report templates for Rebar set included.

Below three report templates are included for generating reports for Rebarset bars.
a) Rebar - Group Bending List - Compact.rpt
b) Rebar - Group Bending List - Extended.rpt
c) Rebar - Single Bar Bending List.rpt

2.1.6 New Rebar set UDA file

You can now add / modify the UDAs for Rebar set in a separate file - objects_rebar_set.inp available in India Environment.

2.2 Lofted Slab

Attribute(s): standard.lsl
• You can use this tool to create complex geometry with straight, single curved and double curved shapes.

Image
5.1.png

• We can create lofted slab using two methods
o Using one construction object and point
          o Using two construction objects

Image
5.2.png

2.3 Cast unit drawing

Cast unit drawing creation

In drawing settings for section views, it is now possible to select 'fit by parts' as an option to be used for the created section views.
Column drawing properties updated, now the section view will be fit to part.

Image
6.png

2.4 Concrete components

2.4.1 Floor Layout: Possibility to divide the slabs to equal widths.

Attribute(s):

  • Number_of_parts.Layout.UI.Dialogs.SlabLayersForm.xml
  • standard.Layout.UI.Dialogs.SlabLayersForm.xml

An option has been added to create slabs or parts by the number of parts instead of their width.
On the General tab you can find the pulldown option to select: Default part width, Max part width, & Number of parts.

2.4.2 Curve tolerance

  • A new tolerance value ‘Curve tolerance’ has been added to ‘Tolerances’ tab page in ‘Rebar shape manager’.
  • This value is used to recognize the ‘arc’ in a rebar having multiple sequential bending.
  • It is defined as 20mm for India environment, you can see the difference with below example.
Image
7.1.PNG

Image
7.2.PNG

2.4.3 Arc Radius

The Rebar shape manager has been changed so that multiple sequential bends which are forming an arc are combined into one or more bends (90 degree or less) with the arc radius.
If you take the above example, the same bar is now changed to an arc. So arc radius is available directly for reporting.

Image
8.png

2.4.4 Mesh Bars - Define rebar spacing by distance list

New option allow users to set exact spacing with distance list.
Attribute(s): standard.MeshBars.MeshBarsForm.xml

Rebar Grade is defined properly and the names are defines as T1, T2 and B1, B2 for Top primary, secondary and Bottom primary, secondary respectively.

2.4.5 Mesh bars: Avoid hooks collision

Attribute(s): standard_with_hooks.MeshBars.MeshBarsForm.xml

Image
9.png
