Slotted bolt hole report template for single part drawing
Question:
I want to create a report template that is only shown if there are slotted holes in the current single part, otherwise it should be hidden.
When I create a bolt connection where for one connecting part I use slotted holes, but for the other part I use regular (not oversized) bolt holes, the template is shown in both single part drawings. How do I create a template that is shown only in the drawing for the single part that actually has the slotted bolt holes?
Answer:
Unfortunately there is no convenient way to achieve this, because the slotted bolt hole attributes are common for the bolt or the bolt group, and not divided or separated for each individual part.
For example, if you have bolted together two parts using a bolt group that has slotted bolt holes and regular (not oversized) bolt holes, this whole bolt group “belongs” to both of these single parts and therefore information about the slotted bolt holes will be displayed in both single part drawings.
As a workaround, we suggest using some UDA’s for separating the single parts that have the slotted bolt holes.
