Showing coordinates of any point or position in model

With Inquire command you can see point coordinates, but you can use it only for point objects. It is not working for any selected position in model. You can use Point Array dialog box as a workaround to show any point's coordinates.

  1. Make sure that you have enough snap switches selected to be able to select any point.
  2. Click a command to show Point Array dialog.
    • Points > On plane (Tekla Structures 2016)
    • Modeling > Add Points > On Plane... (Tekla Structures 21.1 or older)
  3. Select a point in a model and the point's coordinates are displayed in the origin frame of the Point Array dialog box.
  4. You can continue selecting other points as long as the command is active.

Work plane affects the coordinates, but if the work plane is located in the global origin, then these values are global coordinates.
