Shape Code 99 - Rebar length missing when XS_USE_USER_DEFINED_REBAR_LENGTH_AND_WEIGHT is set toTRUE
Case:
According to the instructions about how to calculate the reinforcing bar length, you can use a formula in Rebar Shape Manager to calculate the reinforcing bar total length.
You need to set XS_USE_USER_DEFINED_REBAR_LENGTH_AND_WEIGHT and XS_USE_USER_DEFINED_REBARSHAPERULES to TRUE File menu > Settings > Advanced options.
Here is an example for Shape Code 41 with the correct formula for A, B, C, D & L:
However, you cannot set any formula for Unknown Shape Code 99 and as a result the rebar length is always zero.
Workaround
Instead of using Value Field Formula GetValue("LENGTH"), we use the following formula:
The underlying logic is that if the rebar length is 0, then it will be calculated based on:
Weight = Cross-Section Area * Length * Density
Length = Weight / Cross-Section Area / Density
Rebar length is now reported correctly for Shape Code 99.
