Revit Integration hangs during the mapping phase when importing a model
When importing a model into Revit using the Tekla Structural Designer Integrator for Autodesk Revit you may find that the integration either crashes during the mapping window or you cannot map the sections manually. It is likely that the reason for this is that the Library (Metric or Imperial) may not be correctly set in the Revit settings. To correct this please open File (Revit icon) > Options > File Locations > Places as shown below.
The Integrator expects one of the library names in the first column to be called "Metric library" or "Imperial Library" dependant upon whether you are working in metric or imperial units. Revit then goes looking for the main Revit families stored under the library path on the same row of the dialog.
The screenshots below, displays the default library names for Revit wherever you are in the world. What changes is the libray path. For example, users in SE Asia would by default have a "Metric library" that would point to a different folder, not UK.
Your company may store Revit libraries on networks paths and hence you will need to browse to this location. The library name must however be called "Metric library" or "Imperial Library" dependant upon whether you are working in metric or imperial units.
