The calculation uses the methodology set out in the 'Structural Foundation Designers Manual' by Curtins, the limitation on depth is set within the guidance for slab design.

·         table 13.2 max overall slab thickness listed = 250 mm
·         Fig 13.5 and design charts 13.6 and 13.7 max  effective depth listed = 225 mm
