Once a work order has been sent from PowerFab, it can be opened in ProNest

1. On the File menu, select New then New from PowerFab.

2. In the Tekla PowerFab - Combining Runs dialog box, select the work order you want to open and click OK.

This brings in your parts to nest, as well as a plate list to select from.

In the image below, most of the plates are available in inventory, and the 2 with a quantity of '999' are orderable, available from the Supplier selected in PowerFab.

If one of the latter is chosen (or if a custom plate size is used) a Requisition will be created in PowerFab so those items can be ordered:

3. Nest and crop your plates, and save any remnant and skeletons (if desired) to inventory.

In this example, I've left a few parts unnested, and made a custom crop so we can see what that looks like when we send this nest back to PowerFab.

4. Select Output.

5. Make sure the nest is selected, and click Output.

In the next step we'll look at the results in Tekla PowerFab's Production Control, Inventory and Requisitions.
