Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) issues with Trimble Identity
What is multi-factor authentication (MFA)?
MFA is an added layer of security used to verify a user's identity during sign-in. MFA allows for two factors of authentication. The first factor is the user's username and password. The second factor is a verification code from a time-based one-time password (TOTP) authenticator, such as an authenticator application or SMS.
MFA can be enabled or disabled in your Trimble Identity unless you are part of a federated identity.
What to do if I am having problems with my verification code?
If you are not able to get your verification code, either via your authenticator application or SMS, when trying to sign in to your Trimble Identity, you have two routes based on whether or not you have set a recovery email.
I have set a recovery email
Trimble Identity now enables users to reset their multi-factor authentication without contacting Support. To do so, please follow the instructions in this article.
Please note: If you are having trouble receiving SMS messages, we recommend using an authenticator application in the future.

Please complete the Contact Support form, and select Online Service & Trimble Identity. Your local support office will receive the request and assist you.
