Adjusting the color for reference models in model views
When you add a reference model (such as a DWG or DXF file) in Tekla Structures, it is displayed using the original colors of the imported file by default:
You may prefer to use a single, uniform color for the reference model so that it is displayed more calmly and clearly in the model view:
Step-by-step instructions
1. Double-click a model view to open the View properties dialog box:
2. Click the Representation button to define how objects are displayed in Tekla Structures. In this case, a uniform color for reference models. The Object Representation dialog box opens:
3. Click the Object group... button. The Object group – representation dialog box opens. Add the following setting:
4. Save the setting using the Save as button.
5. In the Object Representation dialog box, click the Add row button. Add the following row with the desired color and transparency:
6. Save the setting using the Save as button.
7. Now apply the saved setting to the relevant model view.
If your Tekla Structures model contains multiple reference models, you can optionally extend the setting to assign a specific color to a particular reference model:
