As a Tekla Online Services Organization administrator, you manage your organization's user accounts and ensure that they have access to Tekla Online Services.

Organization administrator responsibilities

As an administrator, you manage the people in your organization group so that they can access the Tekla Onlines Services they need. These are managed through a self-service portal, the Tekla Online Admin Tool. One or more people in your organization can be administrators. The first user is invited by a Trimble representative and given administrator rights, and that person is then responsible for adding other users and administrators as necessary.

As an administrator, you are responsible for:

  • Inviting employees to your organization's user group to allow them access to the following services (based on the licenses your organization has available in the Tekla Online Admin Tool):
    • Tekla Structural Designer related Online Services
      • Additional content in Tekla User Assistance for Tekla Structural Designer
      • Tekla Downloads
    • Tekla Structures related Online Services
      • Tekla Model Sharing

        Note:
Using Tekla Model Sharing requires separate licenses. Access to other restricted services is granted to your organization as part of your maintenance agreement.

      • Additional content in Tekla User Assistance for Tekla Structures
      • Tekla Discussion Forum
      • Tekla Warehouse
      • Tekla Downloads
    • Tekla Tedds releated Online Services
      • Additional content in Tekla User Assistance for Tekla Tedds
      • Tekla Downloads
  • Removing people from your organization's user group when they no longer belong to your organization.

Note:
Tekla Online Services Organizations are only available for customers covered by a maintenance agreement or who have purchased Tekla Model Sharing for Tekla Structures.

    • When the user accepts the invitation, it is removed from this list.
  2. Find the expired invitation for the user and click Resend. A new invitation e-mail is sent to the user with a new link that is valid for one week.

    Note:

Assign user rights

If your organization has a maintenance agreement, all users in your organization group have access to Tekla Online Services which require maintenance. As an administrator, you can additionally assign other users administrator rights.

  1. Add the users to the Employees group as explained above.
  2. Activate administrator status for the user in the Tekla Online Admin Tool by selecting the checkbox on the user's row. Giving a user administrator rights allows the user to manage Tekla accounts.
