Question:
I want to print my drawing into a PDF file. How can I include the revision mark in the PDF file name?

Answer:
To include the revision mark to the print file or PDF file name, there are two things to check: Print Drawings dialog options and advanced options.

Print Drawings dialog
In the Print Drawings dialog > Options tab, select Plot file or PDF file, and make sure that the Include revision mark to file name option is selected.

Now you might get the revision mark to your file name. If not, you need to also check the related advanced options.

Advanced options related to print file names
The print file name may be defined using some advanced options.

  1. Go to File > Settings > Advanced options > Printing.
  2. Check the following advanced options. The advanced option that is used depends on the type of the drawing you want to print.
XS_DRAWING_PLOT_FILE_NAME_A 
XS_DRAWING_PLOT_FILE_NAME_C 
XS_DRAWING_PLOT_FILE_NAME_G 
XS_DRAWING_PLOT_FILE_NAME_W 
XS_DRAWING_PLOT_FILE_NAME_M
  1. Include the REVISION_MARK attribute as the value for the appropriate advanced option.

  1. Click OK.


The revision mark is now included in the PDF file name.
