Importing pressure vessel models/components done in COMPRESS software into Tekla Structures

Question > When we are modelling platform on vessel, sometimes we are facing issue of vessel components fouling with structural as they are not modelled in TEKLA. We would like to know whether we can import the vessel model which vessel design program generates

Answer>>> COMPRESS is an engineering productivity tool (Codeware, Canada) that models, calculates and creates reports for ASME pressure vessels and heat exchangers. COMPRESS 3D solid models integrate with leading drafting and plant design systems.

COMPRESS software can export their models in IGES/STEP formats which can be inserted in Tekla as reference files.  Thus you can do clash check in Tekla structures, show piping/equipment in drawings (GA) , snap to edge ot corner of piping model to measure dimensions etc.
